dbdock login

npx dbdock login [options]

Signs you in to DBDock Cloud so the CLI can sync this project to your dashboard. Sign-in uses browser OAuth — there’s no API key to create. For the full walkthrough, see Authentication.

Quick example

dbdock login
# Opens your browser to authorize the CLI
# → Logged in as you@example.com (profile: default)

If the browser doesn’t open, the CLI prints a URL to visit manually. Credentials are stored under ~/.dbdock/ — not in your project.

Options

Option	Description
`--token <token>`	Sign in with a token instead of the browser flow (for CI). Also read from `DBDOCK_TOKEN`.
`--web`	Sign in via the browser (the default).
`--profile <name>`	Sign in to a named account profile.

dbdock whoami

Show the currently authenticated account — email, id, auth method, org, and active profile.

dbdock whoami

dbdock logout

Remove stored credentials for the active profile. Your project link is left intact.

dbdock logout [--profile <name>]

dbdock switch-org

Set the active organization. Forward-compatible — accounts are single-scope today.

dbdock switch-org --org <id>

CI usage

export DBDOCK_TOKEN="..."   # from your CI secret store
dbdock login                # picks up the token automatically
dbdock sync

Never commit a token. Inject DBDOCK_TOKEN from your CI provider’s secret store. See Key management.

Profiles

Work with more than one account by naming profiles. Each keeps its own credentials and endpoint.

dbdock login --profile work
dbdock sync   # uses default unless you pass --profile work
